Every mission backs real work
The conservation you do in Spoor mirrors real work in real reserves. The Motsumi Conservation Fund pays for that work, and tells you each quarter what it achieved.
of the net income from camera gear goes to the Motsumi Conservation Fund. Buy a better camera, and all of the money goes to conservation.
Every conservation methodWhat you do, and what it supports
Every kind of conservation work in the game points to real work in real reserves. That is the work the Fund pays for.

|---|---|---|
| Anti-poaching | Fence patrols, snare removal, answering poaching alerts | Ranger equipment, snare sweeps, dog units, fence repair |
| Monitoring | Camera traps, census flights | Camera traps, tracking collars, aerial census hours |
| Research | Collecting dung, hair, water and soil samples | Lab tests for DNA, disease, parasites and water quality |
| Habitat | Veld checks, spotting bush encroachment | Bush clearing, erosion control, removing invasive plants, controlled burns |
| Water | Looking after dams and waterholes | Borehole and solar pump upkeep, wetland restoration |

Camera gearBuy a better camera, give it all
All of the net income from camera gear goes to conservation. Every rand and dollar left after store fees, payment fees and tax goes to the Motsumi Conservation Fund, for monitoring work such as camera traps and research cameras. The gear you buy in the game mirrors the gear the Fund buys for real.
A better camera really is better
Cameras and lenses come in four classes, from a phone to a flagship body with a 600 mm lens. Their abilities are real: reach, low light, autofocus speed, burst rate, stabilisation, weather sealing and weight. A 600 mm lens reaches a leopard in a tree that a phone can't.
Still fair
Photo scores reward skill: the species, framing, behaviour, light and distance. Gear only extends what's possible. Photo badges and leaderboards are judged per camera class, and every camera can also be earned by climbing the photographer ranks. Buying gets it sooner, never exclusively.
Reported backImpact, every quarter
What was paid, and what it did
Each quarter the Fund publishes what it paid, to whom, and what that achieved: snares removed, hectares cleared, animals collared.
Your part in it
You see the Fund's totals, and your own contribution, in the game and on your profile.
For reserves, lodges and researchersBecome a flagship park
Bring your reserve into the game, and bring players to your reserve.
We build your park from real data, check it with you, and add your own story missions and features. It appears in the game with a link to visit for real, and the conservation missions players do there point to your own work. Your rangers' and researchers' knowledge can feed the map too, always checked before it's used.
Mabalingwe Nature Reserve is our first flagship park. Partner enquiries open with the launch.
